The highly regarded and forward thinking radiology department at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking for new Consultant Radiologists to join our growing team to enable us to meet increasing demand across all imaging modalities. This role will involve exposure to general radiology with a share in the plain film reporting, ultrasound, CT and MRI workload.
With two acute sites at Basingstoke and Winchester currently providing radiography, ultrasound, CT, MRI and interventional radiology services, most standard clinical specialties are provided at both sites. The Winchester site houses the hyper-acute stroke unit for the trust and is developing a cardiac CT service. The Breast Screening Unit is located at Winchester. The Basingstoke site houses a tertiary pseudomyxoma and liver surgery unit, and a tertiary haemophilia centre. The Basingstoke site is also a designated trauma unit within the Trauma Network. Nuclear Medicine is situated on the Basingstoke Site.
The Andover site currently offers radiography, ultrasound and a mobile MRI service. Smaller community imaging facilities exist at Bordon (radiography only) and Alton (radiography and ultrasound). Our community sites are being considered in STP plans for enhanced community diagnostic radiology hubs. Tertiary links are in place with Southampton, Oxford, Guildford and Frimley for various clinical pathways.
Our Hampshire cities, towns and surrounding villages are consistently voted the best place to live in the UK. We are a dynamic group of 26 radiologists covering all of the major subspecialties. We are particularly looking for radiologists with subspecialty interests in GI Radiology, Cross-sectional/Oncology Imaging, Diagnostic Neuroradiology, Paediatric Radiology and Nuclear Medicine. However, we could accommodate most other subspecialties within the team.
