The Trust, rated ‘good’ by the CQC, is committed to providing high quality healthcare for local people with mental health problems in South West London and more specialist mental health services for people throughout the UK.

The Trust is pleased to offer exciting opportunities to work in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames and the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. These are very attractive outer London boroughs with good transport links making central London readily accessible. There are numerous green open spaces, including the Royal parks of Richmond and Bushy. Kingston and Richmond are historic riverside towns on the Thames with several notable theatres, diverse shops and restaurants and a wide range of excellent local schools.

In both Kingston (one post) and Richmond (three posts) there are full time substantive posts in well-established, multi-disciplinary Recovery and Support Teams (RSTs). These teams work alongside a separate Consultant-led Assessment Team for Kingston and Richmond, Home Treatment Teams and in-patient wards for each borough. There are also specialist services in each Borough for Early Intervention in Psychosis and for Personality Disorder. In addition, there is a full time post available in the Assessment Team itself, which provides the Assessment function to the RSTs across the two boroughs. Details including clinical base for each available post can be found via our website, as detailed below.

These posts come with excellent employment prospects including NHS pension, access to a well-established local Postgraduate Academic Pro-gramme, and flexible working opportunities. The Trust has adopted a strong Quality Improvement agenda with opportunity for training in this methodology.

South West London and St Georges is a leading provider of mental health services across South West London and a beacon of excellence for many of our national mental health services. Our Trust headquarters are in the impressive grounds of Springfield University Hospital in Tooting, with major inpatient services provided from Tolworth hospital in Kingston, and Queen Mary’s hospital in Roehampton.

We also operate in many other community locations in London and the south east. As a teaching trust, we provide education, training and research in partnership with a number of universities. We have formed a strong South West London partnership with two of our neighbouring Trusts and are currently undergoing an exciting estates modernisation programme to build a new hospital within the next 3 years.
