You will be joining a diverse, forward thinking, and enthusiastic ED team who are committed to providing our patients with high quality emergency care.

You will also benefit from a flexible approach to working practices with a 7 DCC 3 SPA job plan along with support and encouragement to develop special interests that will enhance the current team and service.

Swansea Bay hosts the EMRTS Welsh Air Ambulance service which is based in Dafen, Llanelli, only a 15 minute drive from Morriston Hospital. This could provide its own opportunities when they arise.

Working in a Health Board that is committed to the expansion and development of our senior decision makers will provide you with the opportunities to grow your CPD portfolio, as we place great emphasis on continuing professional development and will actively support you in the development and achievements of your personal goals.

You will be enrolled onto our Consultant Development Programme where the over-arching aim is to introduce consultants to the health board, but also to provide you with skills and knowledge for different aspects of the Consultant role. You will also be invited to attend a four day multi-professional programme, which provides senior managers with a scope and overview to enable them to be compassionate leaders who empower and engage staff.

The Health Board provides a comprehensive range of community, acute, tertiary, mental health & learning disability services. It serves a local population of over 390,000 people in the areas of Swansea and Neath Port Talbot, as well as to a broader population on a sub-regional and regional basis.

Based near the Gower Coastline, the area surrounding the organisation boasts beautiful scenery, affordable housing, excellent schools and higher education along with good road and rail links to London.

Strong links with Swansea University, Wales’ highest ranked higher education institution, and which has a Top UK Medical School means real opportunities for you to build on undergraduate teaching and valuable research.
