Consultant in Vascular and Transplant Anaesthesia
Applications are invited to apply for the above post for the Department of Anaesthetics at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The focus of this post is the delivery of high-quality Vascular Anaesthesia. This will be both in the Radiology interventional suite, and in the main John Radcliffe theatre complex. However, there are flexible sessions in the post allowing the post-holder to maintain an interest and skills in other areas of anaesthesia. Out of hours the post-holder will be on call to provide care for adult emergencies in the John Radcliffe theatres, and also resident to carry the Emergency airway support for paediatric patients. Therefore, the post-holder must have adequate training and experience in general surgical emergencies, and trauma.
The post-holder’s duties will be primarily at the John Radcliffe and Churchill Hospitals, but it is a condition of the appointment that the post-holder will be willing to work in any of the Trust’s locations; John Radcliffe, Churchill and Horton Hospitals and the Nuffield Orthopaedic Hospital
