Medical Tutor Specialist, Medicine, CM Health
Come work in South Auckland, New Zealand where the community is at the heart of the things we do!
Auckland, New Zealand's largest city has all the amenities of a major city, as well as superb weather and an outdoors lifestyle, from beaches to ski fields, cafes and cultural events, all nestled on one of the world's best harbours.
Middlemore Hospital is the main hub for acute care and referral services within CM Health. It is an accredited, teaching hospital of Auckland University and caters for most medical and surgical specialties with a catchment area of around 550,000 people. The General Medicine experience at Middlemore is wide and varied providing an interesting and challenging clinical environment.
Our Division of Medicine is looking to recruit a Tutor Specialist for a 6 month fixed term contract. This Medical Tutor Specialist role is ideal for a senior registrar coming to the end of or having just completed their advanced training and will be working in General Medicine with responsibility for inpatient and outpatient care and a strong emphasis on teaching junior staff. This would suit a newly-qualified physician with FRACP or a senior RACP Advanced Trainee in General Medicine able to work in a Tutor Specialist role (for those who require 12 months of post-FRACP Part 1 General Medicine experience, requires having already undertaken 6 months of accredited post-exam General Medicine at registrar level).
This role has a primary focus in the General Medicine inpatient service and acute Medical Assessment.
