Applications are invited for a Fixed Term, 1 year, Clinical Fellow post, to join the Medicine for the Elderly Team at Perth Royal Infirmary
The Medicine for the Elderly Department based at Perth Royal Infirmary is undergoing a period of change and innovation
At present the Medicine for the Elderly team provides a comprehensive service to older in-patients at Perth Royal including an acute frailty team, acute MFE wards, orthogeriatric liaison service and a 20 bedded rehab and assessment unit
Wider care to the older population of Perth and Kinross is delivered through a rapid assessment service; falls, polypharmacy and Parkinson’s clinics; and input to community hospitals, care homes and day hospital. The Stroke service is closely aligned to Medicine for the Elderly with TIA clinics, and ongoing inpatient assessment and management
The clinical fellow post is ideal for doctors looking for time away from training or a non-training career, where development, training and opportunities provided by this post have many positives
The candidate can work full-time or part-time. Weekend and evening working is available, as is out of hours. These are optional
