We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual with a special interest in circular frame fixation, limb reconstruction, bone infection and trauma.

The post is to provide a third orthopaedic surgeon in our established, internationally renowned limb reconstruction and bone infection unit due to increasing workload. We currently perform around 100 circular frames a year for trauma and limb reconstruction indications for patients across our major trauma and tertiary network. We are supported by a dedicated specialist team of physiotherapists and nursing staff. In our wider team we have two musculoskeletal plastic surgeons, one radiologist and one consultant in infectious diseases. We have a fortnightly bone infection MDT meeting and monthly clinic.

The successful candidate will join the trauma 1:16 on call rota and the major trauma rota 1:12. The second rota only runs during the morning hours to provide MDT, ward round cover, and multi-disciplinary liaison activities.

A post FRCS fellowship in Limb reconstruction and bone infection is desirable.
