Clinical Research Fellow in Cardiology
To work as part of a team to co-ordinate, manage and deliver Clinical Trials within HHFT.
To be responsible for co-ordinating, delivering and maintaining a high standard of day-to-day clinical care for all patients eligible for and recruited into Clinical Trials within HHFT
To provide support to study Senior Research Fellows, Principal Investigators, Clinical
Research Lead(s), and ultimately the Trust Director of Research in delivering high quality clinical research, and to provide clinical leadership to the ward team.
To recruit patients into Clinical Trials designated as ‘portfolio’ studies by the NIHR Clinical Research Network.
To work as part of the medical research team in providing general medical cover as part of the on-call rota in medicine/surgery as appropriate

What we Offer:
The post offers an excellent opportunity for experience in both clinical cardiology and cardiology research. In addition, the post allows for research orientated conferencing within the UK, Europe and North America, funded either by the sponsor, or by a research control fund. Previous post holders have achieved a high level of competence in their desired discipline in cardiology and have gone on to achieve training numbers or further research leading to MD.
Who we are: The research team currently comprises of a Primary Investigator, a cardiology research nurse and a research fellow in post.
Cardiology at HHFT have undertaken more than 40 different studies since 1999 in all aspects of cardiology, including single-centre research, University based research at multiple centres and predominantly research linked to large pharmaceutical companies.
