Locum Consultant Orthodontics
Applications are invited for the post of Locum Consultant Orthodontist from individuals who share our passion for improving the quality of Orthodontic services. This post is based at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospitals as part of Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
This is an opportunity to join the well-established, progressive department of Orthodontics and Oral & Maxillo-facial surgery at HHFT. The successful applicant will join a highly motivated, dynamic team, responsible for the management and treatment of orthodontic patients with the emphasis on multidisciplinary care.
The appointee will form part of a long-standing team delivering a comprehensive Hospital Orthodontic Service. There is the opportunity to engage in future service development, as well as active participation in the teaching and training of a specialist registrar, an orthodontic therapist and junior members of staff. There is a highly skilled nursing team offering excellent clinical support. Continuous involvement in research and audit is encouraged, in addition to participation in the established, regional orthodontic managed clinical network in Hampshire.
At Basingstoke hospital, there is also a well-staffed, onsite orthodontic laboratory with digital model scanning and 3D printing facilities. The unit operates close links with The Royal Surrey Hospital in Guildford and Southampton General Hospital for multidisciplinary cases and is a spoke unit for the regional cleft service in Salisbury.

Interested applicants should have GDC Registration with a License to Practice. Applicants must also be in possession or within six months of obtaining their ISFE in Orthodontics on the date of the AAC.
Applicants will be expected to demonstrate their competence to communicate in spoken and written English.
