Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint 3 new Consultants in the Department of Acute Medicine. We are only one of two Trusts in the Yorkshire and Humber region to be awarded ‘Top 100 places to Work; in the Health Service Journal and achieved a CQC “Good” rating for our acute service and “Outstanding” for our community service.

We are looking for Newly Qualified Consultants or established Consultants wanting a new challenge who have a passion for acute medicine and an interest in supporting the development of our Same Day Emergency Care Service which is currently being extended.

You must be a capable senior decision maker who will support the rapid assessment and treatment of patients and streaming to appropriate pathways.

Consultants are expected to be based within the clinical area when rostered for direct clinical care programmed activities (PAs). You will provide strong clinical leadership and to be available for opinion and advice on any patient within the acute medicine department.

Consultants who wish to work in acute medicine but have a special interest in another specialty will be considered. Please contact the General Manager on the number below to discuss.

You will be required to be on the GMC Specialist Register or be within 6 months of CCT at the time of interview.
