Applications are invited for the post of substantive Consultant in both Obstetrics and Gynaecology, as well as the lead of O&G Medical Education, based at the William Harvey Hospital Ashford Kent.

The post has arisen as a result of the increasing clinical work load within the department as well as efforts to help reduce our referral to treatment times. We are looking for a dynamic, ambitious and enthusiastic individual.

We pride ourselves as a friendly department so we are looking for an individual who works well in a team setting.

Our ideal candidate will be an experienced generalist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, with emphasis on Medical Education.

We are looking for someone who has their MRCOG part 2/3. As well as a proven track record in delivering medical education.

The post will be for 11 PAs comprising of 5 PA’s dedicated to medical education (comprising of Undergraduate bedside teaching, Simulation Teaching, Education strategy, 1 Education SPA and an Undergraduate session teaching). The post holder will be responsible for the future development of Medical Education in the trust and be a medical education champion for both Post graduate and Undergraduate Medical Education.
