Associate Specialist in Acute Medicine

To support the development of our Acute Medical Unit we are looking to recruit Associate Specialists in Acute Medicine, both full time and part time applications will be considered. The successful applicants will help deliver continuity in the acute medical pathway, including working within our ambulatory care unit, to deliver an outstanding service dedicated to good quality patient care.

Within the standard job plan there will be 1 Flexible PA which can be used to undertake a variety of work of the candidates choosing (subject to approval on appointment). Examples of what this time could be used for include Quality Improvement projects, Educational Roles, Clinics in a sub-specialty, Developmental work or time work towards CESR application.

Applications from people working less than full time are welcome. There is opportunity to negotiate a flexible working pattern to ensure a longer term and sustainable career in the Specialty.

Swindon is a thriving town set between two designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Cotswolds to the North and West, and the Marlborough Downs and North Wessex to the South. The main hospital is ideally located for easy access to major roads being just 5 minutes from the M4 connecting us to London, Reading, Bath and Bristol all within an hour, the A419 also connects us to the North such as Oxford and Gloucester.

Candidates may be eligible to claim up to £8,000 in relocation expenses.
