Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist (ROC)
The Obstetrics and Gynaecology department at Western Sussex NHS Trust is looking to appoint a full time Consultant. The Post is suitable for an enthusiastic candidate with an interest in Medical Education and will contribute to the department providing 60 hours of resident consultant cover on delivery suite every week. This post is based at Worthing Hospital which is part of the Western Sussex NHS Foundation Trust.
The post comprises of 10 core programmed activities (PAs) including one night per week as resident Consultant. There is a DSU alternating with GOPD and a session for medical education. In addition, the job plan includes an antenatal clinic on alternate weeks and daytime session on Delivery suite
The post holder will join a supportive and experienced consultant team offering a wide range of high risk obstetrics clinics such as Joint Diabetic, Joint Rheumatology, Fetal medicine, Perinatal mental health, Multiple pregnancy and Obstetric hematology. The Gynaecology specialist clinics are Gynae-oncology, Colposcopy, Emergency gynaecology, Early pregnancy, Recurrent miscarriage, Ambulatory gynaecology, Pelvic pain, Vulval dermatology and Uro-gynaecology.

Applicants must be on the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of attaining Specialist Registration at the time of interview. Applications from candidates who, for personal reasons, are unable to work full-time will be eligible to be considered for this post.
