POST 1: CONSULTANT PHYSICIAN WITH SPECIALTY INTEREST (10 PAs Available)

POST 2: CONSULTANT PHYSICIAN IN ACUTE MEDICINE (10 PAs available)

Medicine for the Elderly, Respiratory, Diabetes, Critical Care

Applications are invited for the above positions in one of Scotland’s major teaching hospitals.  These posts aim to enhance and develop the close relationship between the acute and general medical teams with major medical specialties as part of a major redesign of the Medicine Directorate within NHS Tayside

Candidates with Speciality training in Gastroenterology, Respiratory, Diabetes, Stroke Medicine or Critical Care would be particularly welcome, however we would pleased to consider applicants from other medical specialities. The successful applicant will be based with their speciality interest however will contribute to general or acute medicine including evening and weekend working as well as overnight on-call. In addition, the successful applicant will be expected to take part in postgraduate training and education along with opportunities to collaborate in research, and quality improvement

Candidates should possess MRCP and be on the GMC Specialist Register in General Internal Medicine and or relevant Specialty Interest or be within 6 months of the anticipated award of CCT or CESR (CP) at the time of interview for the post
