Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery
We require a Trauma and Orthopaedic Consultant specialising in both orthopaedic trauma and limb reconstruction, with a subspecialty interest in managing bone and joint infection. The appointee will work approximately half their time as part of a team of dedicated trauma surgeons in a Major Trauma Centre serving a catchment population of 3 million. The other half of the job will be based with the limb reconstruction service at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, working as part of a multidisciplinary team, in the Oxford Bone Infection Unit. We are looking for an applicant who is a team player and has relevant experience in both the management of complex trauma, including extensive experience in using circular frames and in the management of long bone osteomyelitis, non-union and fracture-related infection.
