The salary will be paid at Clinical Research Fellow Grade, £34,731 to £51,248 per annum, inclusive of £2,162 per annum London Allowance.

This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for 1 year.

King’s College London (KCL) Cancer Imaging research group are looking for a Clinical Research Fellow to be responsible for supporting a number of imaging research studies under the supervision of Prof Gary Cook. The studies will mainly involve PET imaging in prostate cancer but there will be an opportunity to become involved in other research projects in Cancer Imaging and to take part in the clinical delivery of the PET service in the KCL & Guy’s and St Thomas’ PET Centre.

The post holder will be expected to collaborate closely with clinical and non-clinical researchers working on similar projects. There will be clinical duties related to the research project, including care of patients at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital Trust. It is expected that applicants will have sufficient training in Nuclear Medicine and/or Radiology to be able to perform many of these tasks from the outset.

MBBS or equivalent, GMC licence as well as knowledge of cancer imaging methods and PET are required. A CCT in Nuclear Medicine or Radiology (or within 12 months of this), FRCR, Nuclear Medicine MSc or equivalent, specialisation in Radionuclide Radiology or equivalent as well as previous research experience are all highly desirable.

The selection process will include a panel interview, an assessment, a presentation.
