Do you think diabetes care in the UK is stuck in the dark ages? Are you interested in working as a consultant in a dynamic and forward-thinking multi-award-winning department, which is keen to transform diabetes care to make it fit for the 21st century? The Academic Department of Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals is building a team of talented, enthusiastic consultants who are keen to develop innovative models of care, in particular by using digital technologies that will not only improve care locally, but also nationally.
These new posts have arisen as part of a larger transformation of diabetes care across Sheffield, including the appointment of eight additional specialist nurses. It is an exceptional opportunity to join an internationally recognised team, with a focus on innovation and high-quality care, as well as family friendly working, and we are keen to discuss with individuals about how we can support their ambitions.
