Full Time (10 Sessions)

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Neurology Department for a substantive Consultant Neurologist with a special interest in MS.

You be joining a team of 5 Neurology Consultants, 3 Specialist MS Nurses, 2 Parkinson’s Specialist Nurses and 2 Epilepsy Nurses. The award winning team also have strong links with the tertiary Neurological services in University Hospital Wales.

The post will be based in the Royal Gwent Hospital site in Newport, South Wales, which is a large district general hospital. The Neurology department encompasses both Acute Neurological input and an extensive Outpatient based provision.

The successful applicant will be encouraged to develop any research interest and will be access a full range of training and supplementary courses.

The Health Board actively supports consultant doctors to undertake funded 3 month formal sabbaticals through an annual application process.

Free parking is available across all Aneurin Bevan University Health Board Sites.

Candidates for Consultant posts must also be on the GMC Specialist Register (including via CESR/European Community Rights) or will have a CCT/CESR(CP) date within 6 months of interview.
