Substantive Consultant in Ophthalmology Primary Care with Subspecialty Interest
Applications are invited to apply for this Part time (5PAs) Consultant post.
This appointment offers exciting opportunities in light of developmental changes currently taking place in the ophthalmology department within the Trust. The post-holder will be responsible for the reconfiguration and delivery of primary care ophthalmic services in Gloucestershire, encompassing the eye casualty provision in Cheltenham General Hospital and Gloucestershire Royal hospital, emergency on-call services and the development of community based primary care clinics, in conjunction with community optometrists. The post-holder may wish to offer a sub-specialty in addition to the primary care brief eg glaucoma.
The principal places of work for this post are Cheltenham General Hospital and Gloucestershire Royal Hospital; other peripheral clinics and surgery may take place at Tewkesbury, Evesham, Tetbury, Dursley and Berkeley
