Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - Haemato – Oncology Clinical Fellow

Location: Winchester

Role Description:  This post is full / part time.  Duties will be made up of the following components:

-Working with the Clinical Haematology and Oncology teams to support cancer services provided on the Nick Jonas Unit in RHCH, Winchester.

-The post holder will have the opportunity to develop skills and experience in Clinical Haematology, Oncology and Acute Oncology.

-This is an out-patient based job with an in-patient liaison service.

What we look for:

-A candidate who will work with the Consultants, Clinical Nurse Specialists and haematology SHO to provide outpatient and day case services, as well as a consultancy service to inpatients in RHCH. 

-A candidate who will work with Clinical and Medical Oncology Consultants in the clinic setting, caring for patients with lung, upper and lower GI cancers.

-A candidate who will be part of the acute oncology team, reviewing patients who attend the Nick Jonas Unit unwell or are admitted to hospital with complications of their illness or treatment, supporting an acute oncology assistant practitioner.
