Relocation expenses and the Isle of Man NI scheme

For this post we also offer interview expenses and a relocation package of up to £7,000 based on receipts. Housing Assistance is also available where the Department will pay the difference between your current mortgage/rent bill, and that of your new accommodation on the Isle of Man, up to a maximum of £250 per month.

The Isle of Man is also offering a National Insurance Holiday Scheme which allows newly employed, relocated or returning residents to apply for a refund on their National Insurance contributions for their first year of living or returning to the Isle of Man, with refunds capped at £4,000. About the Post

The unique location, geography and constitution of the Island means that the Department provides a much wider range of services than would be expected in a comparative health authority or Social Services in the United Kingdom.

 The acute Paediatric Service is based at Nobles hospital, and the paediatric ward has a total complement of 17 beds; with 1607 Admissions, 593 Ward attenders and 252 Out-Patients. The average number of births is approximately 1000 per annum, of which 12% are admitted to Special Care and 1 - 2% admitted to Intensive Care.

The work pattern of our specialty doctors is divided into a Regular day and an On Call day, with daytime work being divided into ward team, neonatal and post natal team, and clinic team schedules. You will support elective and emergency paediatric and neonatal services for the Isle of Man, working in a seven person shift rota (resident on call).

This is a first on-call post but the ability to function at ST3 to ST4 level is essential as there are no middle grade staff and Consultants are non- resident.

We are looking for someone who is committed with great communication and team working skills to work with us to drive forward this service and ensure we continue to provide quality care for children within Noble's Hospital.
