Consultant Cellular Pathologists /Histopathologists with interest in Gastrointestinal Pathology. Additional interest in Non-gynaecological cytology and Autopsy would be welcomed but is not essential.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our talented and dedicated team of Gastrointestinal Pathologists at Barts Health NHS Trust. These are two replacement whole time (10PA) Consultant Histopathologists jobs in Gastrointestinal Pathology, although there would be some flexibility for an additional speciality interest. There is the opportunity for research opportunities within the Liver Unit at Barts Health or within the colorectal or hepatobiliary units for interested applicants. The Liver Unit is an international centre of excellence with outstanding patient care and cutting edge research in viral liver disease, based at the innovative Blizard Institute. The academic unit manages a portfolio of translational research and there are opportunities for the post holders to join existing research programmes or initiate new lines of enquiry. Applicants with additional interest in non-gynaecological cytology and autopsy pathology are encouraged to apply although this is not essential. The post is based in the state-of-the-art Pathology and Pharmacy building at the Royal London hospital in the vibrant and multicultural district of Whitechapel. Cellular pathology services are provided along specialist lines. The department provides a high quality service and the appointee will be a full and active member of the team.
Applicants are required to hold full GMC registration with a licence to practice and to be on the GMC’s Specialist Register or within six months of their expected date of receipt of a CCT at the time of interview.
