Consultant in Paediatric Intensive Care
Applications are invited for a Consultant in Paediatric Intensive Care at Addenbrooke’s Hospital part of Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CUH). We seek to appoint two dynamic Clinicians to join a team of Consultant Paediatric Intensivist’s in this busy regional centre.
This is an exciting time to join the team as Funding of £128m for a new children’s hospital in Cambridge to open in 2023 was announced by Health Minister Matt Hancock in 2018. Plans for a new Regional Paediatric Intensive Care Retrieval Service are now well advanced.
The appointee will provide clinical leadership, specialist advice and multi-disciplinary management for the Paediatric Intensive care Unit. Our Paediatric Intensive Care Unit supports a wide range of medical and surgical specialties, major trauma, education and research. Services include specialist surgery such as Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Urology, Orthopaedics, Scoliosis Surgery, Plastic and Cleft Surgery, Paediatric General Surgery and Oncology Surgery. Medical services supported include Acute Paediatrics, Endocrinology, Respiratory, Immunology, Rheumatology, Haematology, Oncology, Allergy, Neurology, and Gastroenterology. There are close links with the University Department of Paediatrics and the Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
You will be fully registered with the GMC or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview. Applications are welcomed from those unable to work full time for personal reasons or those wishing to job-share.
