Specialising in Breast & Endocrine Cancer

We are keen to appoint a dynamic Consultant Clinical Oncologist to join our team of 54 Consultant Oncologists working in Oxford and the regional units. The post specialises in Breast and Endocrine malignancy and will work with the multidisciplinary teams across these tumour sites. Consultant input will also be specifically provided to the well-established acute oncology service (AOS) at the John Radcliffe Hospital.

The oncology department in Oxford has moved into a new £108M diagnostic and treatment cancer centre. The department is 1 of only 7 selected to deliver SABR for all NHSE CtE indications, along with SRS for brain metastases.

The department is taking forward plans to develop satellite radiotherapy units in existing cancer units in Swindon and Milton Keynes. The department works closely with the University Department of Oncology and Oxford Institute for Radiation Oncology, providing excellent opportunities for collaborative radiotherapy and cancer research. In 2016, the department was designated an NCRI Established Centre of Excellence in Academic Radiation Oncology (currently only 3 in the UK).

Candidates are highly recommended to visit the department and hospital and are invited to contact Dr Nicky Levitt, Consultant Medical Oncologist and Lead for Breast, Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust on: 01865 235208, Dr Andrew Weaver, Consultant Clinical Oncologist, Lead for Endocrine and Colorectal on: 01865 235209 and Professor Bass Hassan, Clinical Director Oncology and Haematology on: 01865 235891.
