Consultant in Cardiac Anaesthesia and Critical Care
We seek to appoint a whole time (10 PA) Consultant in Adult Cardiac Anaesthesia & Critical Care to replace a colleague following his retirement.
Depending upon training and experience the successful candidate will contribute as part of the adult cardiac anaesthesia and critical care team for adult cardiac surgery as well as the 19-bed cardiac intensive care unit. The post holder will be expected to work in close collaboration with the consultant cardiac surgeons and cardiologists. The candidate should have training in trans-oesophageal echocardiography (TOE).
We would welcome applications from candidates with Intensive care accreditation or higher academic training.
The Bristol Heart Institute performs 1500 surgical cases per annum. It is a designated centre for ACHD cardiology and cardiac surgery. It provides the regional primary PCI and trans-catheter valve implantation services, as well as tertiary services for arrhythmia intervention.
The contract will be held with the University Hospitals Bristol NHS FT.
