Trust Doctor in Acute Medicine
Candidates are invited to apply for a fixed term Trust Doctor (ST1-2 equivalent) posts. The post is fixed term for up to 1 year.
Successful candidates will be invited to enroll with StaffBank if desired to enable them to take advantage of locum opportunities in the evenings and weekends. There are some posts available with out-of-hours commitments which will be subject to any new Junior Doctors contract.
The post may include Geriatrics, General Medicine, Acute Medicine & Ambulatory Care, Respiratory Medicine, Gastroenterology and Metabolic Medicine. with precise rotations agreed between the post-holder and the Trust. Successful candidates will also have the opportunity to work in the ambulatory care unit and develop new clinical pathways to improve patient care.
Successful applicants will be able to develop individualised educational goals including a focus within the specialty of your choice. This post presents excellent opportunities to develop clinical skills and has very high level of consultant supervision. This provides a good educational opportunity and if the post holder is interested they will be able to gain audit, research or teaching experience. There will be ready access to the Whipps Cross training opportunities and a possibility to shadow the existing on call ST3+ rota to prepare for a ST3+ equivalent post as well as support for the CESR route.
