Consultant in Public Health
NHS Solutions for Public Health (SPH) is delighted to offer the opportunity for a Consultant in Public Health (8d/9) or Consultant in Public Health Medicine to join the SPH team. The position is full or near full time (0.8-1.0 WTE or 8-10 sessions/week) with the option to work one day a week from home.
SPH clients include NHS commissioners (NHSE and CCGs), local authorities, PHE, offshore jurisdictions, regulatory bodies and the third sector. Our wide-ranging services include strategic support, rapid evidence/ systematic reviews, clinical audit, service evaluation, IFR support, needs assessments/ JSNAs, and variation analyses. We are looking for a pro-active, ambitious, well-networked individual with the gravitas and credibility to engage with senior consultants, commissioners and healthcare professionals at all levels, capable of developing new opportunities with clients. You will be an innovative, enthusiastic team player, whilst comfortable taking a firm lead of individual projects/ programmes.
You will be involved in diverse PH delivery projects; nevertheless, rapid evidence reviews (RER) form a core element of our business and ideally, you will bring a sound understanding and experience of RER process/ methodology and be capable of undertaking RERs and providing associated QA (we will consider training an otherwise exceptional candidate in this discipline).
