An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Clinical Oncologist with a special interest in lung cancer and stereotactic radiotherapy, working at both RSCH and Ashford & St Peter’s Trust. The post holder will help develop the active and increasing Stereotactic radiotherapy service, which the RSCH is commissioned to deliver SABR to primary lung and Oligometastes (through the CtE programme).

This is an 8 PA post consisting of ward work, outpatient clinics and MDT meetings (see sample job plan in attached job description). In order to fulfil the responsibilities of this post you must be eligible for full GMC registration. Applicants will have their CCT in Clinical Oncology or be within 6 months of obtaining it.

The Royal Surrey County Hospital Foundation Trust provides specialist Cancer and Haemato-oncological care, including complex Cancer surgery, to the population of the South West Surrey and Hampshire (previously SWSH cancer network), a catchment area of approximately 1.2 million. Non-surgical oncological treatment for these patients is provided at the St. Luke’s Cancer Centre, which is an integral part of the Trust. There are close links with surrounding cancer units and the Surrey Clinical Research Centre.
