This is one of the busiest departments of its kind in West Midlands; the clinic provides a comprehensive range of sexual health, family planning and HIV services.


This post offers an exciting opportunity to join a specialist integrated sexual health service with a national reputation. We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic doctor who wants to work in this field and training will be provided in specialist aspects of the work.


The trust is a teaching institution, receiving medical students and higher trainees from the West Midlands Rotation. Apart from the clinical load, team are profoundly involved in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level at Warwick University Medical School. The department is also heavily involved and active in research programme.


If successful you will:


Join an integrated multi-disciplinary highly enthusiastic team led by 3 full time and 1 part time consultant, based in a newly refurbished, self-contained building situated at the centre of Coventry.


A strong holistic integrated approach within the service with staff trained in sexual health and family planning areas.


The unit also provides HIV out-patient service and out of hours HIV and GUM emergency service through an on call rota. There is opportunity to gain some experience in the out-patient management of HIV infection


The post attracts 10 PA’s plus 5% intensity of payment in respect of participation in a junior doctor/middle grade non-resident GUM/HIV on call rota 1 in 5. You will be actively involved in audit as part of your training. You will need full GMC registration, a minimum of 2 years or equivalent post graduate training.
