King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust part of King's Health Partners Academic Health Sciences Centre (AHSC), is one of the UK’s largest and busiest teaching hospitals with a turnover of nearly £1 billion, 1.5 million patient contacts a year and more than 11,500 staff based across 5 main sites in South East London.
The Trust provides a full range of local hospital services across its different sites, and specialist services from King’s College Hospital (KCH) site in Camberwell and the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) site in Bromley.
Kings College NHS Foundation Trust is seeking consultant radiologists to join its expanding and forward thinking Medical Imaging Department based at the Princess Royal University Hospital. The job would be mainly a general radiology post with subspecialist interest. Gastrointestinal, head and neck & paediatrics interest would be preferable but not essential. The successful candidate will join a flexible and enthusiastic team of radiologists. There is established role extension within the department with training taking place for reporting radiographers, and the post holder will be actively involved in supporting this initiative.
The post is for 10 PAs per week, which includes 1.5 PAs for SPA time. Less than full time work is welcomed. You must be fully registered with the GMC/GDC and hold Licence to Practice and be on the Specialist Register, or within six months of attaining your CCT or equivalent at interview stage. On call commitment will be 1:10 with this post, and CT scans are outsourced to a teleradiology company from 5:00 pm – 8 am week days and throughout the weekend. Weekend on calls involves 3 hours onsite DCC each day to predominantly cover acute ultrasound work.

The Princess Royal University Hospital serves the London Borough of Bromley in South East London which is the largest of the London boroughs with largest green belt. Bromley has an increasingly diverse and affluent population. The area benefits from affordable housing, excellent local schools (including state grammar and independent options) and has quick and easy access to both Central London and the Kent countryside.
