Respiratory and General Internal Medicine Consultant Physician
Applications are invited for this full time 10 PA consultant post in the Respiratory Department at Newham University Hospital. This new post is designed to enhance the cancer service and help the further development of the pleural service.
The Respiratory Department at Newham University Hospital has an excellent reputation for innovation and focusing on delivering high value multidisciplinary, holistic care of patients admitted with acute respiratory deterioration and those living with long-term conditions. We are looking for an equally dedicated individual to enhance the current profile and bring experience within the range of respiratory areas that complement our existing consultant led services, which includes Sleep Disordered Breathing, Pleural Disease and Tuberculosis.
You will be part of a team of 5 respiratory consultants working within the respiratory multi-disciplinary team which also includes the respiratory ward community nursing team, respiratory nurse specialists, respiratory pharmacist, clinical physiologist and respiratory physiotherapists.
We have a reputation for providing excellent training and the registrar post is highly sought after by respiratory trainees on the North East Thames training programme. The successful candidate would be expected to participate in under and post graduate teaching, and to participate in the general medical on call rota.

Applicants should possess a CCT (or European Equivalent) or be within 6 months of obtaining, and should be listed on the Specialist Register at the time of taking up the post.
