Clinical Research Fellow
Professor Chim Lang is recruiting for an exceptional Clinical Research Fellow to join our Division of Molecular and Clinical Medicine. The post is full-time for 24 months.
The University of Dundee is part of a large European consortium that has been awarded a European Union Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) grant worth over £12 million to further our understanding of diabetic cardiomyopathy. Dundee has a key role in the consortium, leading one of the work packages on associations of diabetic retinopathy and advanced retinal imaging and diabetic cardiomyopathy.
The research fellow will co-ordinate the recruitment of 200 patients, conducting echocardiography, supervising cardiac MRI scanning and working with colleagues in the School of Computing to analyse retinal images. This substantial project will lead to papers in peer-reviewed journals, presentations at national and international conferences, and will form the basis for a MD thesis.
