Lochgilphead Medical Practice and Mid Argyll Hospital

32 Hours per week

£77,090 to £86,898 per annum, pro rata

Fixed Term 1 Year

Applications are invited from individuals who are fully qualified General Practitioners who have a keen interest in Mental Health.

NHS Highland would provide you with a platform for you to gain enhanced skills in the management of mental health conditions both acute and chronic. The end result will enable you of practicing confidently in new roles in primary and community care, whilst continuing to use your skills in managing complex co-morbidity.

The appointee will be based primarily at Lochgilphead Medical Practice and also Argyll & Bute Hospital.

Your time will be spent between general Practice (4 sessions), Psychiatry (3 Sessions) and 1protected learning session.

Lochgilphead caters for those that enjoy the outdoor life. This is one of the most picturesque areas of Scotland. There are many places and islands to explore. This is a great area for families as well with a very modern joint primary/secondary school campus including a sports centre. There are many local shops and good facilities including a swimming pool. The area is renowned for sailing and the world famous Crinan Canal. There are many clubs and activities for all ages and levels.
