Clinical Lecturer in Geriatric Medicine

We have an opportunity for a successful candidate to develop a portfolio of research around clinical ageing with an emphasis on vascular disease and/or vascular cognitive impairment. The post is within the Institute of Cardiovascular & Medical Sciences, a research-intensive institute in the College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences.

We are seeking applicants who hold MRCP (UK)/or equivalent and will have completed general professional training in Core Medicine as well as already having a national training number and a PhD/MD or be in process of submitting this at the time of commencing in post.

Clinical training will be a major focus of the Lectureship in order to ensure the successful candidate can successfully apply for their Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT). Training will be offered in Geriatric and General Internal Medicine.

The successful candidate will be appointed at the level of Specialist Trainee (ST) and will enter the West of Scotland Higher Specialty Training Programme.
