We deliver comprehensive services across all sub specialties and this new expansion will allow us to improve our service to patients. Detailed plans for this development have the support of staff, community optometrists, GPs and the Trust Board to take our department from 'good to great’ over the next two years. We invite those doctors who wish to be part of this exciting development for patients while progressing their own professional development and needs to express their interest in one of the above posts..
This post will be part of a team of 14 consultants supported by 1 associate specialists, 4 speciality doctors, 2 SpRs and 2 F2s. East Kent is ideally suited for access into London and as a gateway to Europe. There are many areas of unspoilt countryside and some quiet secluded beaches as well as the main centres of population. The Stour Valley runs through the area and there are expanses of great natural beauty and charm together with many places of historic interest. There are outstanding local sporting facilities including sailing and golf and the area has excellent housing and schools. The Continent is within immediate reach through the Channel Ports and Channel Tunnel. You can be in France within forty minutes or in Paris in two hours!
Applicants must have GMC Full registration. This appointment will be made under the new NHS SAS Contract.
All posts are subject to a Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure check in the event of the post being offered.
