Applications are invited to apply for a Lower Limb Joint Arthroplasty Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics at Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
This is a new post offering 10 programmed activities. Additional programmed activities may be available upon agreement.
The newly appointed Consultant will have a job plan based on 10 Programme Activities (PAs), plus 1:9 on-call. The draft plan for these 10 Programmed Activities are flexible to meet the ongoing demands of the service. Once we have the confirmed appointment, discussions on working timetable can be agreed.
The allocated PA’s will be formed by a flexible combination of elective operating lists, outpatient clinics and ward rounds and on call duties.
The Appointee will have a shared office and administration support, their junior staff; include a middle grade and SHO equivalent.
Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, in partnership with the University of Buckingham, is a University Teaching Hospital. This allows us to attract, train and retain the best doctors and contribute towards the financial stability of the organisation.

This exciting new phase will include opportunities for undergraduate and post graduate teaching, enhanced research facilities. A teaching and research background would be highly advantageous when applying for this position.
