Consultant in Clinical Oncology (10PAs) with a specialised interest in GU cancers
The Christie NHS Foundation Trust is an international leader in cancer research and development and is the largest single site cancer treatment centre of its kind in Europe.
The post holder will deliver oncology input to patients with GU cancers and HDR brachytherapy from across greater Manchester.
This is one of a potential two posts due to current vacancy and a pending further vacancy later this year.
The appointee will join a team of 44 Clinical Oncology Consultants and will be based at the Christie and will provide a site-specialised service in GU cancers and become an active member of the Multidisciplinary Disease Groups which are research active groups with large clinical research portfolios and basic research programmes.
We would be very happy to discuss further about the details of the post, and to give further background information on the Christie clinical service as needed.
It is a statutory requirement for successful candidates to have completed Specialist Training and to be entered on the GMC’s Specialist Register in Radiotherapy (Clinical Oncology) or be eligible for CCT within 6 months of the interview.
