The Graduate Entry Medical School (GEMS) at UL was established in 2007 and is the first medical school to be founded since the establishment of the Irish State, the first graduate-entry medical school in Ireland and the first to integrate problem-based learning techniques into its medical degree curriculum.
UL Hospitals Group delivers care to patients across six sites each year, serving a population of over 385,000 people in the Mid-West. It has been growing over the past number of years adding important facilities to its campus including a new state of the art Emergency Department, Critical Care Unit, 24 hour cardiology service, Cystic Fibrosis Inpatient and Outpatient Unit, Breast Unit, Acute Inpatient Stroke Unit, and Dialysis Unit. It has also introduced the Da Vinci Xi Dual Console Robot making it the first public hospital in the state to offer such technology for patients.

Salary Scale: €149, 260-€185,492 p.a.
