We are always looking for enterprising and innovative approaches to the way we provide our services. We are a national centre for telemedicine and introduced telehealth to the UK offender healthcare sector and also provide the service to patients in their care homes. Community matters to us and we are supported by 400 dedicated volunteers and have strong links with Bradford University, Craven College and Leeds City College to ensure we inspire the workforce of the future.

We want to attract staff who embrace our ‘Right Care’ behaviours of compassion, a commitment to quality of care and working together for patients – we want to make these part of our DNA.

The successes of our Trust are proof that fantastic quality of life can go hand-in-hand with consistent high quality patient care. Our award winning hospital is in a location providing genuine opportunities for a great work-life balance. Our local town of Skipton has been voted as the best place to live in the UK by the Sunday Times, commending its top class schools, great transport links, low crime and beautiful surrounding countryside.

The expanding Consultant Cardiologist team provide both an acute and elective cardiology service. The new appointees will ideally have any sub-speciality interest. Devices and imaging sub-specialities are particularly desired to develop the service.

Applicants must be on the Specialist Register, or within six months of being admitted to the Register for trainees if currently in a training programme within the UK. If you are a trainee, currently on a UK training programme, and are not yet on the specialist register, please provide details of your expected CCT date on your application form. In accordance with the regulations, all other categories of doctors must be on the Specialist Register at the time of their application to be eligible for consideration for a Consultant appointment by the Advisory Appointments Committee.

Prospective candidates are encouraged to visit the Trust and meet members of the management team and other senior members of staff as part of the application process.

You should complete the application form as fully as possible, including any information which may help us judge your suitability for the post. You will also need to ensure that the references you provide for this position cover the last three years of employment/voluntary work or training and that they are from someone who has had direct line management responsibility for yourself.

If you have a disability which makes it difficult for you to complete an application form, then we are happy to accept alternative methods of providing the required information. Please contact us to discuss this.

This posting will close when we have received an adequate number of applications. You are advised to submit your completed application form as soon as possible to have the best chance of being considered.
