The Adult Mental Health team has a number of exciting opportunities for consultants to join the Trust to work in the North and South Community Assessment and Recovery Service (CARS) teams. The successful candidates will join experienced teams of Consultant Psychiatrists who work in the community across all mental health service within the Trust. The service is continually improving and developing, with full engagement of the consultants in this process.
In terms of clinical duties, the post-holders will provide direct psychiatric services through the comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and treatment formulation (care planning) for service users. He/she will also provide psychiatric leadership to the multidisciplinary team and clinical leadership in collaboration with the team leader. As well as treatment planning, the post-holder is expected to undertake regular reviews in the community that comprehensively address service users’ biopsychosocial needs.
Opportunities are available for those who wish to be involved in service leadership and re-design. Non-clinical interests will be supported in line with Trust strategies. Interest and previous experience in leadership and management would be an advantage.
