Doctoral Clinical Research Fellow in Diabetes and Heart Failure (3 Posts)

These posts have arisen as part of the support package for Professor Gerry McCann’s NIHR Research Professorship. Successful candidates will join a vibrant and dynamic research group which has obtained £7M in independent funding in the last 12 months. You will be based in the Cardiovascular Sciences Department at Glenfield Hospital in an outstanding environment. Research infrastructure includes a NIHR Biomedical Research Centre (BRC), a BHF funded Clinical Research Centre, a BHF Accelerator centre award, the Van Geest Biomarker facility, a NIHR Clinical Research Facility including a dedicated 3T MRI research scanner (Siemens Skyra, with an additional BHF funded Siemens Vida being installed in 2019) and clinical physiology labs/consulting rooms. 

The post holders will be supported by bespoke training, mentoring and educational programmes commensurate with their level of seniority in a department with an excellent track record of developing independent researchers.
