Would you like a change? How would you like to work in a department that is well staffed and funded, that focuses on the patient and is not regulated by targets?
We do not have patients queuing on trolleys in the corridor or ambulances waiting to unload patients. What we do have is high tech patient focussed care that gives you time and facilities to give your patient the best care possible. We work as a small but very strong team with excellent nurses, middle grades and junior Doctors that we have time to teach. We are all moving to annualised rotas to give us the time off to spend with our families and enjoy the beautiful Island where we live. We have excellent schools and an outdoor way of life. There are easy connections to France and the UK so you are not that far from families or friends. We have a higher cost of living but an excellent tax system and most of all we feel we have the work life balance sorted! The department and health care system is undergoing change and we are developing our acute floor philosophy and reviewing our aeromedical system. There is a lot of scope for you to have an impact on these and many other areas of the care we all give. Come to a place that is better for you, your family, and your patients. Jersey’s Health and Community Services Department runs the Island’s integrated, taxation-funded health and care system that is largely free at the point of delivery. With great weather, sandy beaches and beautiful surroundings, you will enjoy a better quality of life in our island community. In addition, you will find an easy commute, and more time for yourself.
