Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist with Interest in Interventional Cardiology

The Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint a Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist with Interest in Interventional Cardiology.
This post is a new post; it is a whole time Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist with Interest in Interventional Cardiology.
The appointee will be a member of the children’s services heart disease team at the Royal Brompton and will be accountable to the Directors of children’s heart services and Director of Paediatric Cardiology. They will be expected to work closely with existing consultants and the multidisciplinary team to provide a clinical service of excellence for the child with congenital or acquired heart disease.
In addition to Interventional Cardiology practise and rota, the appointee will be expected to contribute to all aspects of the care of children requiring paediatric cardiac care, including when in paediatric intensive care and high dependency units, as well as providing services for specified paediatric cardiology clinics.
The appointee will be expected to actively participate in the research, education and administrative responsibilities of the paediatric department, as well as generally support the Trust and its Directorate of Children’s services.
Applicants are required to be fully registered Medical Practitioners and must be on the GMC’s Specialist Register or be eligible for admission to the Register within six months from date of interview for the post. Sub-specialty in Interventional Cardiology will also be deemed an advantage, though not essential, for this post.
