Consultant in CAMHS / Learning Disability (0.6 WTE)
This is a well-established post, developed by the recent post holder who will be retiring. The post holder will be working in a multidisciplinary team with Psychologists, OT’s and Nurses who specialise in learning disability, forming a Tier 3 Specialist Team within the CAMHS Service in Walsall and have access to the other services provided by that team such as family therapy and the looked after children consultation service.
It is possible that the post would attract additional session’s to cover the ASD service which will be expanding soon.
Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership provides all age mental health services from CAMHS to Older Adults in the two Black Country localities of Dudley and Walsall. The 2019 CQC reviewed the trust as good and the CAMHS service was rated outstanding for caring.
Applicants for the above post should have, or should be eligible for a CCST and eligible onto the Specialist Register within three months of the interview date. Full GMC Registration, approval under Section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act and relevant experience in child and adolescent psychiatry / learning disability.
