Come and join our successful team, located in Gorleston on the Norfolk coast within walking distance of long sandy beaches and close to the beautiful Norfolk Broads and gorgeous rivers offering you the perfect work life balance! If you enjoy the hustle and bustle of a vibrant young University.

We are looking for a dynamic and motivational colleague to join our friendly and enthusiastic team at the James Paget University Hospital.

The Department is an integral part of the Division of Surgery and Women’s and Children’s Services whose responsibilities cover the provision of Anaesthetic Services, High Dependency and Intensive Care, Pain Relief, Pre-assessment and Community Dentals as well as the running of Operating Theatres & Recovery. In addition the hospital has an extra contractual Hyperbaric Chamber. (An opportunity to be part of the Hyperbaric service could be considered by mutual arrangement).

Ours is a very happy department, with consultants who get on well together and share the same work ethic and commitment to providing the best service we can. We have excellent relationships with the Trust’s senior management, who share our vision for the service and trust our judgement. The recent CQC inspection in 2018 rated the hospital “Good” overall. This places us in the top 30% of acute trusts in the country.

Informal enquiries are welcomed by the following:

• Dr Pushpa Nathan, Clinical Lead Anaesthesia

• Dr Veena Naik, Deputy Clinical Lead Anaesthesia

• Dr Andreas Brodbeck, Pain Management Lead

• Dr Edward Lams or Dr Michael Karlikowski, Intensive Care Medicine

All the above can be contacted via the Anaesthetic Department 01493 452475/452476.

Closing date for applications is 13th June 2019.

The interview date has been scheduled for 18th July 2019.

Someone recently described our hospital as a “hidden gem”.

We certainly think it is! Come and see for yourself.
