Arthur Rank Hospice Charity supports people in Cambridgeshire who are living with a life-limiting illness. Delivered from our new location at Shelford Bottom, Cambridge and the Alan Hudson Day Treatment Centre in Wisbech, our care and services are provided free of charge and we have been recognised, this year, as outstanding by CQC. Our professional, compassionate and practical services deliver care, counselling and education, helping our patients and their loved ones to make every moment count.

Applications are invited for the post of part-time, permanent Consultant in Palliative Medicine based at Arthur Rank Hospice Charity in Cambridge. The successful applicant will join 2 other consultants in a supportive medical team which includes trainees and speciality doctors. The Hospice comprises of an in-patient unit with 12 specialist beds and 9 nurse led beds, a specialist community team, day therapy services and an education centre. The successful applicant will work mainly in the in-patient unit (IPU). They will also take part in a non-resident second on-call rota.

Applicants must hold full GMC registration and be on the GMC Specialist Register in palliative medicine, or will be eligible for inclusion within 6 months of the interview date. You will need an enthusiastic and caring approach, excellent interpersonal skills and able to work in a multidisciplinary team.
