The Cardiology Specialty at North Bristol NHS Trust has seen substantive growth over the past five years, and as part of a major investment in the Specialty, plans to recruit a number of Consultant Cardiologists over the coming 6/12 months.
Initially we are seeking to recruit a Consultant Cardiologist with a specialist interest in Heart Failure (non-invasive). This post will be a key appointment in the development of Heart Failure Services at the Trust, and will work closely with two recently appointed Heart Failure Clinical Nurse Specialists.
In addition to being fully registered and licenced by the General Medical Council, applicants will need to be BSE accredited and be fully trained in trans-oesophageal echocardiograms (TOE).
The post holder will also form part of the Cardiology on-call rota, which will move from 1 in 7 to a 1 in 10 as the team grows. This rota supports the Coronary Care Unit and the Acute Medical Unit.
