Post CCT Clinical Fellowship in Paediatric Dermatology

This is a one-year post aimed at dermatology trainees seeking specialist training in paediatric dermatology due to commence in October/November 2019. Applicants must have a CCT in dermatology in order to obtain JRCPTB accreditation. The post will provide 12 months of supervised specialised experience in Paediatric Dermatology, delivering skills and competencies to fulfil the curriculum requirements for the post CCT fellowship in paediatric dermatology.

Birmingham Children’s Hospital provides a comprehensive paediatric service including the NSCT-funded Epidermolysis Bullosa service.  The appointee will work alongside Drs Malobi Ogboli, Emma Howard, Vicky Diba and Prof Celia Moss (Part-retired) and specialist nurses providing paediatric dermatology at both secondary and tertiary level. Subspecialty interests include genetic disorders, vascular malformations, atopic dermatitis and inflammatory dermatoses. The appointee will be on national StR terms and conditions of service, will retain their existing pay point and incremental date, and will be remunerated up to the top of the StR salary scale.

This post provides a unique opportunity to obtain the experience required to practice paediatric dermatology at both secondary and tertiary levels.
