Consultant Psychiatrist – Luther King Ward, Lambeth Hospital
(10 PA’s Substantive)
South London and Maudsley is committed to providing high quality integrated health and social care for local people with mental health problems in South East London, and specialist mental health serves for people throughout the UK. This post is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Lambeth Living Well Network Alliance, an innovative project to bring together those who use services, commissioners and providers to design, develop and deliver a new model of adult mental health services. Our partners in the Alliance include third sector organisations Certitude and Thames Reach, Lambeth Council and Lambeth Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).
Luther King ward is an 18 bed ward for male patients who are resident in Lambeth, and is based on the Lambeth hospital site, alongside other acute wards, and a PICU. There is onsite parking and restaurant, and it is close to Clapham North underground. We are looking for a dynamic individual who is an excellent clinician in acute general adult psychiatry, an enthusiastic teacher, someone who is passionate about improving services, and a strong leader.
The interview process will include an assessment centre on the 4th June 2019 and an AAC panel on the 11th June 2019 - please keep both dates available as alternatives will not be offered.
