Full-Time – 10 PA plus on-call commitment. There is an option for this role to be part-time

We are seeking a Medical Director/Consultant in Palliative Medicine to join our senior leadership team.

Prospect Hospice is an independent charity supporting a community of 300,000 people in Swindon and North Wiltshire.  It’s an exciting time to join us as we are in a significant period of change and this role is an opportunity to make a vital contribution to the implementation of our far-reaching strategy.

This key role will contribute to the overall leadership and management of the hospice and contribute to the continual improvement of services. You will report to the Chair of Board of Trustees and provide professional advice to the Chief Executive on general medical professional standards and the specialty of palliative medicine. You will also manage the senior medical team, provide supervision for GP specialist trainees and work with our Education team to develop medical teaching events within the Hospice.

This role may develop over time to closer working with Great Western Hospital to improve patient Pathway, this would involve enhancing teaching support for GP Trainees and specialist CNS teams.

This is a unique opportunity to join a new dynamic leadership team and to change and influence our future direction and clinical performance as we continue to develop our services over the next five years.
